Lieber Herr Professor,

Dear Professor,

Yesterday 1 a copy of Yearbook II finally arrived, sent to me directly by Drei Masken Verlag. I am happy to have been able to make my contribution so that the work now finally appears.

I have seen many manuscripts here and also made arrangements for photographing them. That would probably be {2} enough to accomplish in four weeks, but now I will continue on to Paris on Saturday. There I will stay not in the Hotel Regina but in the Hotel des Quai Voltaire.

With warmest greetings I am
Yours very truly,

Footnotes

1 Receipt of this letter is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 4/1, p. 3117, October 3, 1927: "Von Hoboken (Br. aus London): habe das Jhrb. ("From Hoboken (letter from London): has received Yearbook II, several manuscripts have been photographed, he is going to Paris."). The diary also records (OJ 3/9, p. 3116) receipt of 2,600 Schillings from Hoboken on September 29, 1927, which must be Hoboken's subvention of the printing costs of Das Meisterwerk in der Musik, vol. II, i.e. the "contribution" referred to in the first paragraph.
